Emaar Grand Hotel Makkah (Formerly Dar Al Eiman Grand Hotel)

WARNING. WARNING WARNING!!!! Stay Way from this hotel. They are not professional and their rooms are not as advertised. Their AC does not work right and they have no wifi at all. The front desk team is Incompetent and are not willing to help. We stayed for 3 nights had to deal with trashy room with no carpet and AC down in the heat of the desert. When i complained they threaten to kick me out and not refund my money. I would urge you to stay away from booking this hotel and take your money elsewhere. Trust me it is a SCAM!!!!

This is a very good hotel compared to the other hotels in the vicinity. It’s located in Ibrahim Al Khalil street, about 1 Km walk from the Haram (about 15-20 minutes walk depending on your speed). I have booked a quad room. It was spacious, clean and doesn’t smell. It had street view, from the 8th floor, beds and linen were clean, bathroom was well maintained and clean. The room is spacious enough for the needs, there is a kettle and facility to make coffee, and there is a small fridge. Electronic card keys work fine with no issues. There is a small wardrobe / hanger for clothes. The single beds and mattresses are comfortable. I would give this room / hotel an overall rating of 8/10. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Check in was almost seamless with no issues. It did take few minutes longer to check in more than necessary, but compared to other hotels in the region and previous experiences, it was really good.

This is 4 star hotel. It has a prayer floor where you can pray with jamaat, offers buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a shopping mall inside. It's about a 15 minute walk to the haram. The best rooms are spacious, the bathroom is posh, and the beds are clean.

Good, clean rooms, housekeeping was great as well. Has great WiFi signals in lobby but poor WiFi signals in rooms. The bathrooms are good & clean but there's no wiper so the water collects on & off on the floor until it is cleaned by housekeeping the next day. We had an issue with recharging the room card, everyday by going to the reception. And it's atleast 10 min walk to Masjid Al Haram Quite costly. And the package to get breakfast lunch buffet is yet more expensive.

Rooms were delicate. Room Service was fast and elegant. Wifi was not good in rooms. Overall 4.1
