Awfad Hotel Riyadh

I celebrated my birthday yesterday with my flatmates, we had breakfast and it was good..The most amazing thing is that the Manager Sir Saeid and his crew made a surprise birthday cake..he was generous and welcoming...recommended for any diner:)

All over the place is very good ? the food delicious ? ? the staff are well-known hard working ?

Seemed like a nice hotel from the outside but still a lot to be desired! First we were given a “suite” although I would assume it’s a room for handicapped guests, which we did not ask for. The room was nice but the bathroom was obviously for handicapped or older people as it had only a rain shower and there was a seat similar to what you see in hospital bathrooms. No handheld shower head, no divisions, no large sink. Good thing we had a booked another room for our kids and that’s where I took my showers the whole time. Second, we didn’t wanna leave the hotel anymore since our kids were tired so we decided to order dinner at their in-house restaurant and the wait was just RIDICULOUS. We had waited for almost an hour for our food and our kids were getting so hungry so we just decided to get up and leave. Waiting for ONE HOUR for JUST PIZZA AND SOUP is simply unacceptable. The waiter was trying to pacify us and we do not blame him, just the kitchen. Too bad the view from their terrace has a really nice view of Olaya, and I wondered how come there were no other diners there. And I found out why! So even if you get a good room here, just take your food money with you and eat elsewhere.

The first time in the hotel and definitely will not be the last ,The experience was unique and great , very clean and quiet breakfast is good .

Cleaning staff is very friendly and professional. I've never seen the rooms to be cleaned so well. Well done, guys! What I didn't like is the pool and gym schedule. I'm a working woman. How I'm supposed to go to swim and train from 3:30 PM to 7 PM when I work till 7?
