清真寺由萨瓦德·伊本·加南·伊本·卡阿布于公元 623 年建造，位于麦地那圣城，是伊斯兰历史上最重要的清真寺之一。 Masjid Al Qiblatayn 翻译为两个朝拜的清真寺，据信是有福的先知（愿主福安之）收到启示将朝拜（祈祷方向）从耶路撒冷改为麦加的清真寺。

建筑学
Masjid Al Qiblatayn 是世界上极少数拥有两个米哈拉布（指示朝拜的壁龛）的清真寺之一。然而，1987 年清真寺被彻底改建，面向耶路撒冷的旧米哈拉布被拆除。清真寺现在只有一个面向天房的米哈拉布，尽管您可以在天花板建筑中看到通往耶路撒冷的方向。
清真寺的主祈祷大厅拥有 21 世纪的现代设计，天花板上悬挂着漂亮的枝形吊灯，还有一个设计成看起来像一个巨大的祈祷垫的米哈拉布。礼拜者的沐浴区位于东南角的地下室，而主体结构以西的一个街区是伊玛目、穆赞和看守人的住所。
每年都有来自世界各地的数十万穆斯林前来参观这座历史悠久的清真寺和附近的其他景点，包括 Jannatul Baqi、Masjid Quba 和 Mount Uhud - Archers' Hill。

Masjid e Qublatayn is famous because having two Qibla directions during one prayer. During Nimaz (prayer) Allah Pak sent message to change Qibla direction from Masjid Al Aqsa to Masjid Al Haram.

This is the Mosque where Prophet was instructed to face Kaaba during prayer. Before this incident, Muslims were facing Al Aqsa (Jerusalem) during prayer. This instruction was given during a prayer. So first half of the prayer was facing Al Aqsa and the next half was facing Kaaba. That's why this masjid called Qiblatyn (Two directional Masjid)

Masjid e Qublatayn is famous because having two Qibla directions during one prayer. During Nimaz (prayer) Allah Pak sent message to change Qibla direction from Masjid Al Aqsa to Masjid Al Haram ( Kabba) . So during Nimaz Rasool Ul Allah PBUH change his direction and all Sahaba which were present there had also change there direction without discontinuing Nimaz & saying one word. So this Masjid having the tradition of love & obeying. Love for Allah Rasool Ul Allah & those to whom loved by Rasool. May Allah Pak bless us love, Eman & death with Eman & love. Allah Pak bless us with love of Rasool Ul Allah.

Alhamdulillah!
It's always a great feeling to pray here.
I feel overwhelmed and elated that Almighty Allah has given the opportunity to be amongst the lucky ones that have been able to perform Hajj and Umrah. Coming here to pray gives me joy and every sense of humility.
