清真寺 Al Qiblatayn - 麦地那

It is one most important mosques in Madina. It is considered one of most pious and sacred mosques of Islam. The mosque where Muslim prayer direction changed from Jerusalem to Makkah therefore named as mosque with two Qiblas. You must visit this mosque when you visit Madinah.

Masjid Al-Qiblatayn, situated in Medina, holds a unique place in Islamic history as the mosque where the Qibla (direction of prayer) was changed during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad. This historical significance adds a layer of reverence to this sacred site. The mosque’s name, which translates to “Mosque of the Two Qiblas,” refers to the fact that initially, Muslims prayed facing Jerusalem, but during one prayer, the Prophet received revelation directing them to face the Kaaba in Mecca instead. The architecture reflects this dual Qibla concept, making it a visual representation of a pivotal moment in Islamic history.

This Masjid has a very special importance in Islam because it is said that all Muslims were offering prayer to the 1st Qibla which is towards Masjid e Aqsa but one day during prayer Allah Subhana Wa Tallah asked Hazarat Muhammad PBUH to change their direction to Khana Kaba Makkah and immediately obeying order Hazarat Muhammad PBUH changed the direction during prayer and at the same time all Sahaba Ikram RA also changed the direction. So that is why this Holy Masjid known as Masjid e Qiblatain since then Muslims offer the prayers to Makkah. There is still one prayer Matt placed on the wall mentioning the direction of 1st Qibla and I also taken one selfie picture of that prayer Matt. This is one of the important Ziarat in Madina so I suggest to must visit this Masjid.

Alhamdulillah had opportunity to perform two Rakah Salah here. It is really sad that these peoples have wiped off previously had old Quiblah minar. Now it doesn't have sign of old Quiblah

Masjid Al Qiblatayn translates to Mosque of the two Qiblas and is believed to be the Mosque where The Blessed Prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) received the revelation to change the Qibla (direction of prayer) from Jerusalem to Makkah. (Allah knows best).
