Makarem Mina Hotel

Worst experience over last 5 years of regular visits to Mecca , very far from Haram , shuttles are not coming regularly, no room service over 2 days , even after we asked the receptionist many times, breakfast was awful, food is tasteless and cold , low value of money , room was small , everything is old needs maintenance

Broken tables and outlets, water dripping from the ceiling on 5th floor, no busses actually leaving the hotel and walking to the next hotel to get on the bus is a must etc. Really can improve alot

It is a nice hotel. The hotel staff were nice and helpful whenever we needed them. House cleaning staff member Faheem from Swat Pakistan was very very helpful when we needed to find a bucket. He went above and beyond to help us. The wifi comes in and out and times depending on where you are sitting in the room. Also there is a free shuttle service that runs almost every hour to Haram and back, so you won't need to take a taxi to get to Haram. We stayed during the month of Ramadan 2022, sehri and iftar were not free so you would have to pay for them. I believe 55 SAR for sehri and 75 SAR for iftar.

Good: +Easy parking available near to the Hotel + Rooms are big + very reasonable price with acceptable quality of furnitures and spacious room. + Near to restaurants (e.g., Tazaj, Subway etc.,) + ladies staff at the reception are speaking English which is easy for communication +Free wheel chair available to take to Haram and return( but if you ask the male staff he’ll say not available) check with housekeeping. +Free shuttle bus service to Al Haram Bad: - bus service not following the time schedule and one of the driver is not responding properly. - Floors to be maintained well. If it is carpet based it would be good.

Makarem Mina Experience Hotel Reception: The staff was very respectful, cooperative and i didnt feel any difficulty communicating with them. The lobby had good number of clean seating arrangement and was able to provide sittings for atleast 50 people. Rooms: The hotel rooms were clean and with facilities available at your service. The rooms were spacious and good to accommodate 2 guests. The only thing missing was that the internet password was not available in the rooms, u have to ask the reception for it. The beds were comfortable and one could sleep peacefully in them. Food: The buffet had a good range of cuisines and the food was delicious. Seating arrangement was efficiently arranged to accommodate yet not to make the guest feel congested. The waiters were respectful and had good comforting smile on their faces. Transportation: The distance from AlHaram does not allow a walk, one must b ready to spend 20-30 SAR in a taxi/cab one-way in Ramadan days, im sure the rates would differ during normal days. Bus/Shuttle service for the hotel was delayed may b coz of traffic during Ramadan, thus taking a cab seemed like a quicker option. Summary: Overall the a fun stay, had a good time in Makarem Mina Hotel. Surely would recommend people to stay if they cant find a close-by hotel.
