Under restoration with new mosque. Rasulullah SAW stopped here for his army to drink water from this blessed well on the way to Badar Battle. The water from this well is still flowing. Masya Allah!

Currently renovation work is going on there, there are taps outside to collect water and to perform ablution. There are small mobile shops, people selling water bottles and other stuff.

Bring your own water container. It cost SR5 for a small plastic container at the site.

Bir Ghars (Arabic: بئر غرس) was one of the wells that was favoured by the Prophet ﷺ due to the freshness of its water. The Prophet ﷺ drank from the well, made Wudhu with its water and requested that he be washed using its water after his death.

Honestly, I had no clue about this place until I got a chance to visit it. It’s an Historic place and Traditionally it is believed that the Prophet Muhammad drank from this well once, and also made a request that be bathed with its water after his demise. The well water is open for people to drink and take they can take it home.
