I came to the hotel at 1am because my transport from mecca was delayed by unforeseen uncontrollable circumstances. When I arrived they checked for 20 minutes and after a long wait, told me to go away as they don't have my booking available which was very unprofessional. They could have called or reacted that they will cancel my booking. Very unprofessional dealing from the entrance counter Ahmad Al Ahmad who was not accommodating or apologetic on behalf of the hotel. It's not acceptable to turn down clients because they, and I quote the receptionist "didn't know that booking.com customers bookings didn't come through their system"
I even asked him if he can refer me to an affiliated or nearby hotel but they were extremely unhelpful and told me "mushkiltak" translated from Arabic to its your problem not ours, aka go away we are not interested to help you.
At the same time I was there, there were 4 clients with already booked and paid reservations and they were shouting at the receptionest for unavailability of rooms due to the hotel overbooking rooms. Some customers came in asking for rooms for the night but they replied very rudely go away we don't have any room without any sympathy or professional curtsy.
Very rude and unprofessional way to deal with reservations.
It's a pity because the lobby looked nice and calm when I first entered.
