I recently stayed at this hotel. While there were definite positives to my experience, there were also some drawbacks likely due to the surge in guests from the convention.
Positives:
Clean and Modern Room: Thankfully, the room itself was a bright spot. It was clean, well-maintained, and up-to-date. The comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep.
Points for Improvement:
Long Check-In: Unfortunately, the check-in process was quite lengthy. This created an unnecessary wait at the beginning of my stay.
Below Average Breakfast: The breakfast offering fell short of expectations. For the calibre of hotel, I would have expected a more impressive and delicious breakfast spread.
Chaotic Parking: The parking situation was also a hassle. The basement parking was crowded with garbage and it was highly disorganized, making it difficult to find a spot and navigate the area.
Overall:
Despite the long check-in, underwhelming breakfast, and chaotic parking, the comfortable room did salvage the overall experience. However, considering the high ratings this hotel typically receives, it fell a bit short during the convention. If you're planning a stay during a major event in Riyadh, it might be wise to manage expectations or consider alternative hotels with better logistics for handling large crowds.
