Grand Plaza Riyadh

Affordable place near the centre of Riyadh. Decent breakfast as well. Only downside is the loud elevator noise that can be heard in the room. Located beside a supermarket and restaurant really good location

Avoid staying at this hotel at all costs. They charged me twice, and insisted on refunding the amount in cash (riyals) during checkout even though I paid using a company credit card. They advised me to just “exchange in the airport”, anyone working in a multinational knows this is going to be a tedious process. Apart from this, the hotel services were appalling. My room smelled like smoke coming from the ducts (I asked for a non-smoking room), Wi-Fi barely worked, breakfast/room service was poor and stale, and the client-facing reception staff couldn’t speak English. Shame to see a hotel in this quality in a booming city like Riyadh.

Well….I had a confirmed booking for 3 rooms at this hotel. When I arrived there, they told me it did not exist. I booked directly on their website, with my customer silver account, and it still appears on my profile as confirmed. I even got a survey asking me how the check in went! So please, do not book with them, you might end up homeless.

Although the room itself is satisfactory, the condition of the bed is extremely disappointing. Despite making numerous requests to the reception over the course of three days, asking for either a different room or a replacement bed, I have been informed that the hotel is fully booked and unable to fulfill my request. However, I strongly believe that there must be another available room that they can offer me. Additionally, the internet connection in the hotel is incredibly unreliable.

This is my review as a solo paranoid female traveller Very clean place and it smells nice (altho there was a problem with my bathroom whenever I ran the sink it stank) but overall it didn’t flare up my OCD lol The decorations are maximalist but not in a ghetto way which I found comforting They have toiletries and slippers The bedsheets look new fresh and clean Staff are professional The other customers staying here are mostly business men and girl groups and families which made me feel more comfortable as a woman staying alone there The location is excellent it’s right in the heart of Riyadh and uber drivers didn't have trouble finding it Their breakfast isn't the most versatile or the most delicious but it does its job Definitely will be staying here again for my next visit
