Descripción

Ubicada en Jubbah, a unos 100 km de Hail, Arabia Saudita, la montaña Umm Senman es uno de los sitios arqueológicos más destacados de la región. Esta montaña es famosa por los dibujos e inscripciones que se han grabado en ella. Según los arqueólogos, estos grabados se remontan al 7000 a. C.

Paisaje

La montaña recibe su nombre 'Umm Senman' por su apariencia única, que se asemeja a un camello con dos jorobas. Rodeado de dunas de arena, está situado en el medio del desierto de Nafud y se extiende sobre un área de 40 km cuadrados. Hay casi 2000 dibujos de animales en esta montaña, incluidos 262 dibujos de seres humanos. El más popular y claramente visible de estos dibujos es el de un león.

Historia

Según algunos historiadores, estas inscripciones son de diferentes épocas históricas, algunas de las cuales también son tamúdicas (cuando la gente de Thamud deambulaba por la tierra). It is noteworthy that the site of Jabal Umm Sinman was registered among the World Heritage Sites in (UNESCO) for the year 2015 AD.
