يقف هذا الموقع الجميل شامخًا في بداية الطريق المؤدي إلى أقدس مدينة للمسلمين ، مكة. شهد باب مكة مئات الملايين من الحجاج يقطعون رحلتهم إلى موطن نبي الإسلام (صلى الله عليه وسلم).

وهي عبارة عن بوابة ثلاثية الأقواس مع برج كبير على كل جانب ، مما يوفر الدعم والمدخل من جدة إلى مكة المكرمة. وهو بمثابة نصب تذكاري تاريخي في واحدة من أقدم مناطق جدة وقد تم الحفاظ عليه بعناية فائقة منذ أربعينيات القرن الماضي عندما تم هدم السور المحيط بمكة. عندما تنظر إلى هذا الهيكل المهيب ، يمكنك أن تدرك أنه كان من الصعب اختراقه في ذروته.

Well, I expected something really extraordinary and monumental but in fact this gate is a bit disappointing. its in the middle of a demolished area and totally neglected. I suggest you look at pictures in Internet instead of ordering a taxi to go there.

The Mecca gate was historically the most important gate for Jeddah, Arabia's official pilgrim port. It stands at the start of the road that led to Islam's holiest city. In the last 14 centuries, billions of pilgrims have passed beneath it. The impressive three-arched recreation is flanked by large round turrets. The gate looks as though it would've been impregnable in its day, when it would've been supported by a wall that circumnavigated the entire city.
