At best, this is a 3 star hotel in terms of facilities and 2 stars in terms of service. The only saving grace is the location, as it is very close to the Haram.
The elevators are very, very slow. If you are disabled or on a high floor, be prepared to wait.
They are woefully understaffed. You may go several days without having your room cleaned, and when they come, it will be a very cursory cleaning.
The lack of staffing extends to the restaurant, where tables are cleaned after extended periods of time, leading to people waiting around without a table, cutlery and napkins nowhere to be found, and empty food stations.
I have heard concierge loudly sigh at not receiving what they perceived to be an adequate for tip.
Our 3-bed room had two regular beds and one creaky roll away bed.
I do not recommend this hotel unless you get a great deal.

Undoubtedly, the hotel's location was its strongest point. It's situated in a prime area with easy access to Haram. Unfortunately, the service didn't meet the expectations associated with a 5-star establishment. The staff, while polite, seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. Requests often took an uncomfortably long time to be fulfilled, and there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness. The dining experience was a letdown. The quality and taste of the food were subpar. Dishes lacked flavor and creativity, and it was disappointing to see such limited options on the menu. The room was comfortable, but it lacked some of the finer details you'd expect from a 5-star establishment. The bed was decent, but the furniture seemed a bit outdated, and the lighting was inadequate.

I regret to share that my stay at Al Aqeeq Madinah Hotel was far from satisfactory, largely due to the abysmal customer service provided by the receptionists. From the moment of check-in, I encountered a series of unprofessional and discourteous interactions that overshadowed any positive aspects of the hotel. The receptionists seemed disinterested in assisting guests, displayed a lack of empathy towards inquiries, and were unresponsive to requests. Such a disappointing level of customer service tarnished what could have been a pleasant stay. The hotel management should urgently address this issue to ensure a more hospitable and welcoming environment for their guests.
