位置和历史
位于沙特阿拉伯麦加市的Masjid Al Haram，也被称为神圣清真寺或圣地清真寺，是全世界最大的清真寺，也是世界第八大建筑。
“Masjid Al Haram”一词的意思是“神圣的清真寺”。之所以如此命名，是因为它围绕着克尔白，克尔白是伊斯兰教中最重要和最神圣的圣地，也因为清真寺是伊斯兰教中最重要的清真寺和穆斯林朝圣地。它每年接待来自世界各地的数百万信徒。截至目前，该清真寺由沙特阿拉伯国王控制。
建筑学
随着时间的推移，Masjid Al Haram 经历了多次翻修，但该建筑最古老的部分可以追溯到 16 世纪。清真寺的结构包括一个位于中心的矩形庭院，四周环绕着有盖的祈祷区。
院子里还有两个圣地。其中之一是 Maqam-e-Ibrahim（易卜拉欣站），这是一块植根于伊斯兰传统和历史的石头。另一个是渗渗泉的绿洲，其中包含神圣的泉水，据称自从它被发现以来从未干过。
庭院的北面和东面有两座小山丘，分别称为 al-Safa 和 al-Marwah，它们也是穆斯林朝圣仪式的一部分。
清真寺总面积约356,000平方英尺，最多可容纳400万人。

Mecca is the birthplace of Islam and the hometown of the Prophet Muhammad. The Forbidden Temple has a long history. There is a noble Kaaba. Muslims travel around the Kaaba 24 hours a day. This is the direction of Muslim worship around the world. Only when you are on the scene can you feel the greatness of Allah. Allah is the greatest.
