Violet Al-Shisha

Very rude staff. Horrible very bad experience. Should never ever go. No body speaks English either. They took my money for breakfast and did not let me eat. The guys at the reception are very very rude.

The room service in this hotel is the weakness. Unfortunatly was everything for a 2 star Hotel not 4 stars. Starting from Reception to the content of the room. No towels in the room ,broken drawers , Plugs are not in place especialy where we sleep . You should ask the Reception for every single detail in the room, water was no drinking water, no towels , the money safe was not working , i couldnt open it with the code i v given , i asked the reception, he told me too many unuseful words ...... i lost my time with this wounderfull ? action. He heared that i ll inform the minstry of tourism about this thing and then he changed the behavior all of suden..... then he could bring the key of the money safe and in 5 minutes....... The guy in the reception who recieves the room calls is absolutly not the right person here. As a summery i will definitly try another hotel next time. I ll share this experience with minstry of tourism because it is highly unpleasable stay and disturbing.

I was racially profiled by 2 gentlemen manning the Hotel Reception on the night of 18-19 April, 2022. I had a fully paid up reservation at the Hotel. The Reception staff denied I had reservation. They denied my reservation and payment existed in their system inspite of sharing my payment slip and booking reference. They denied me a room and kept me waiting at the Hotel lobby for an hour. These gentlemen eventually left the Reception area with no further reference to me to join their friends out the outside for a chat as I waited. They eventually told me my booking was in two days time on 20 Apri. Wrong, I reminded them that was my checkout date. Oh They said, your booking dates passed. Should have been here 15 April. Wrong, that was my booking date. This gentlemen had no respect for a Pilgrim in Ihram, a guest of Allah in Mecca. Meanwhile, suhur closing time was fast approaching at 4.38am. I had not even eaten from the day before's fast and was about to start another day's fast without eating. Note that my hotel booking included Suhur package. These gentlemen did not acknowledge this on inquiry. Violet Al Shisha Hotel is a racist establishment and should be avoided if your skin is black or brown. Against their will and on my insisting, they acknowledged my reservation and allocated me a room but with sheer disdain. Didn't matter to me. I was more excited about reaching the Harram. Dahir Ali, a wonderful taxi driver of Ethiopian extraction I found outside the hotel made the morning better. He drove me at break neck speeds to locate a restaurant before end of Suhur. Found a McDonald's 25 minutes to time.
