This is a place with high end prices and so you expect high end service. The idea that the maitre D was preoccupied with her phone isn’t good as an opening feel. The two female waitresses from Philippines made it feel like they were serving peasants they didn’t want to speak with. I even tried to crack a few smiles but it didn’t work. Therefore the service got 2 🌟 and no tip ! I always tip but you can’t be that rude to clients.
The food was impressively priced with mains averaging around £41 -£55 very high end. I expected much more out of my roast on the crown chicken and seasonal veggies with gravy. Sadly a think brown gravy covered the plate in its entirety and so zero for presentation. We being from the north of the uk are happy with lashings of gravy but be sure many are not. My family had Wagyu Bolognese and shrimp linguine and both of these were mid range in terms of taste and value when expecting to pay London Michelin started prices. We passed on dessert to try their Social kitchen bakery next door. See the next review !
Overall the experience wasn’t what we hoped for and as such I have to say I was overly disappointed ☹️
