50年以上の間、戦争水上飛行機は、紅海とサウジアラビアの砂漠の間にあるラスアルハイクハメドの遠く離れた砂浜の岬に放棄されたままでした。
歴史
飛行機はもともと第二次世界大戦で使用するために建てられましたが、後に実業家が飛行機を購入し、家族と一緒に世界航海を計画しました。不測の事態により、飛行機はアラビアンビーチに着陸し、地元の人々から敵対的であると誤解され、地元の人々はそれに発砲しました。これにより飛行機は飛行に適さなくなり、放棄されました。残骸の歴史を説明する看板も敷地内に設置されています。
風景
巨大な飛行機の残骸は、通常干潮のある風の強いビーチにあります。ただし、水が飛行機に到達すると、潮が高くなることもあります。ビーチに立っていると、見物人は遠くにエジプトを見ることができます。訪問者の安全のために最近フェンスがその周りに建設されましたが、訪問者はこの1930年代のアメリカ軍の水上飛行機を詳しく見ることができます。

The ride upto the place is also good as the roads are well built.
No food stalls or outlets nearby so bring your own food
A toilet and shower point nearby if you want to clean up after a swim
The history of the place is shown on the board.

Visited the wreckage of Catlina 1930 (Private Plane) in Ras Gasba, NEOM. The plane was originally built for use in World War II, but later an industrialist, bought the plane and planned a world voyage on it with his family. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the plane landed on the Arabian beach and was mistook as hostile by the locals, who opened fire on it. This rendered the plane unfit for flying and resulted in its abandonment. onlookers can see Egypt, Jordon and Israel in the far distance.

This sea plane was wrecked on 1960s. Reaching this place is little bit difficult for normal cars. Almost 2-3 kilometers we need to drive through sandy desert. If you visit tabuk province, must visit this place. Archeological department are well maintained this place.
