場所と歴史
サウジアラビアのメッカ市にあるマスジドハラームは、聖なるモスクまたはハラムモスクとしても知られ、世界最大のモスクであり、世界で8番目に大きな建物です。
「マスジド・ハラーム」という用語は「聖なるモスク」を意味します。イスラム教で最も重要で最も神聖な神社であるカーバ神殿を取り囲んでいることと、マスジド・ハラームがイスラム教で最も重要なモスクであり、イスラム教徒の巡礼地であることから、この名前が付けられました。毎年世界中から何百万人もの崇拝者を受け入れています。現在、モスクはサウジアラビア国王の管理下にあります。
建築
マスジドハラームは時間の経過とともに多くの改修を経てきましたが、構造の最も古い部分は16世紀にまでさかのぼります。モスクの構造は、屋根付きの礼拝エリアに囲まれた中央の長方形の中庭で構成されています。
中庭にはさらに2つの神聖な場所があります。そのうちの一つがイスラムの伝統と歴史にルーツを持つ石であるマカム・エ・イブラヒム（イブラヒムの駅）です。もう1つはザムザムのオアシスで、聖なる湧き水が含まれており、公開されてから乾燥したことはないと言われています。
中庭の北と東には、イスラム教徒の巡礼儀式の一部でもあるアルサファとアルマルワと呼ばれる2つの小さな丘があります。
モスクの総面積は約356,000平方フィートで、最大400万人を収容できます。

The Greatest place to ever exist. The feeling that you get there is just amazing. The sight of Holy Kaaba and offering your prayers right in front of it is an experience that can never be described in words.

Holy place for Muslim where they can pray and tawaf with all facilities. People here are in full energy and flow . Fully secured and beautiful place where we forgot the world and remember only our Creator , Master and One and only Allah .

Very soothing place. A place that makes you forget all of your troubles and only think of Allah all the time. Would definitely recommend for all ages. Umrah is an experience that will change you and make you want to go again and again. Looking at pictures is nice but when you actually enter masjid al haram you just get a different feeling which can't be explained.
