Great Resturant. One of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Riyadh so far. Lovely atmospheric and service. I would recommend the meat options not the chicken, even though I usually prefer chicken. Tres leches cake is lovely. Parking is definitely difficult and the only downside to this restaurant. You can book on my table prior. I would give it an overall 4.5/5

We came here with a reservation. It’s such a hassle to get here because it’s in KAFD. So many checkpoints to cross and every time you have to show your reservation to pass. So going through so many hoops I thought it was going to be a fancy place with good food. We get here and it’s a tiny joint with a diner like ambience. Nothing fancy about it. We were seated on a table by the host. Then handed menus. As I was about to open the menu, a waiter came and very rudely said you can’t sit here, this table is for someone else. So we got up and went to another table. Ordered two drinks, tacos and nachos. The drinks were AWFUL. Reminded me of Applebees but of course applebees prices are a LOT cheaper. Now coming to the food. Oh my god. What a HUGE disappointment! The nachos tasted nothing like nachos. The “cheese” was a white sauce that tasted like tahina. There was nothing to offset the heaviness of the sauce. Just a few tomatoes. They needed some crunch, some sour elements, some spice. All I tasted was the heavy tahina. The tacos were similar. It was just tortillas with pulled meat. No crunch. No onions or any vegetables to add texture to the dish. I had one bite and that’s it. Couldn’t get myself to eat more. For the price and the effort to get here? 1/10 I will not be visiting again. Especially due to the awfully boring food. Riyadh has MUCH better Mexican food to offer, which is cheaper and easier to access. This isn’t even a fancy place so honestly this place has nothing to offer.

The good: I really loved the vibes and the service. The Diente de Leon drink was delicious and would definitely come back just for their interesting variety of mock tails! The Nachos El Comino were my favorite order by far. Very fresh and authentic taste. The not so good: First of all, I did not like that they don’t serve complementary chips and salsa! I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that does not offer this. It wasn’t even on the menu. I ordered the Tacos HoleBox and Asada Quesadilla and was not impressed at all. I’ve definitely tasted way better. I will say that the price to potion ratio was very good. They could have upped the flavor with more sauces and toppings. Overall: I would come back just for the drinks and nachos and then go have dinner somewhere else.

The fresh, chunky guacamole at El Camino has a pleasant kick, thanks to jalapeno along with plenty of fresh herbs. So does the house-made dark red, thin salsa. The soft corn tortillas came stuffed with grilled tomatoes, onions and well-seasoned strips of lamb meat. Saucy and soft, the tacos came topped with cool queso fresco and plenty of chopped fresh cilantro. The Mexican flan was delicious.. the sweet, creamy custard dessert was smothered in a rich caramel sauce and crumble toppling. Service is exceptionally friendly!
