Ed's Tacos - Jeddah Afirmar

The food isnt bad, I had the meat tacos and nothing too crazy, but in comparison to the rest of the Mexican food places I've tried, this would be the best so far. Nothing meets the authentic Mexican experience yet. The taco is very greasy, the flavors are a bit underwheing but the cheese isn't too bad. The corn tortilla is pretty nice.

The food is not terrible, but it isn't authentic either. Portions are small. The flavor is close to what I ate in Mexico but lacks some ingredient or flavor. It was a little bland. Our group sampled most of the menu. We liked the stuffed pepper appetizer, the burrito, and the rak beef Tacos. I did not like the taste of the burria chicken taco; it tasted like boiled chicken and had minimal amounts of veggies or toppings. It needs more spices and toppings. I hope the restaurant considers adjusting their recipes. There aren't many Mexican restaurants; this has the potential to be amazing. This place is clean and painted with bright, fun murals that make it a nice place to hang with friends. There are only 5 or 6 tables upstairs, so it might get busy during mealtimes. There are 2 or 3 outside tables if the weather is nice. Indoor seating is not handicap accessible. The restaurant is self-service; when your buzzer lights up, you go downstairs to pick up your tray of food and carry it upstairs to eat. Non-arab speakers should note that the cashier speaks little English, and the menu only has pictures and names.

The taste is spot on, I’m a big fan of crunchy tacos, the hard shell tacos are way too crunchy. Either because of over cooking, or the thickness of the taco, hope you fix this issue so I can be a regular customer.

Nice and knowledgeable staff, although, one of the restaurant owners was very agitated from our questions about the meat Quality. The tacos are Mediocre at best, there semi-hard shell tacos are not original as they sauly in any way, and the size should be at 30-50% bigger with then same amount of meat, as it was dripping out with every bite... these are not tacos these are mini tacos. Meat Quality is good but not the best. Over all an average experience and might come back again if they change there mind set in regards to genuine tacos. Oh and please if your going to eat here use the provided plastic gloves, the food is very greasy And the smell will stick to your fingers. Price is expinsve for the size and the quantity of the order.
