I recently had the misfortune of staying at Movenpick Tahlia, and I cannot emphasize enough how incredibly disappointed I am with the entire experience. From the moment I stepped foot into the hotel until the moment I left, it was a constant stream of frustration and inconvenience.
First and foremost, the check-in process was really slow. It took an long time to get checked in, despite the fact that I was the only one checking in.
Upon finally reaching my room, my disappointment continued to grow. The size of the room was shockingly small.
However, the room size was the least of my concerns compared to the frequent electricity and power outages that plagued my entire stay. Astonishingly, the hotel had no backup generators except for the reception area. Consequently, I endured four days out of my five-day stay without consistent electricity. It was beyond frustrating to see all the neighboring buildings fully lit while I was left in the dark.
When I approached the hotel staff regarding the power outages, they nonchalantly brushed off the issue by claiming it was a problem affecting the entire area. Strangely, upon researching later, I discovered reviews from months ago mentioning the same problem. It was clear that the hotel had been aware of the ongoing issue but failed to take any corrective measures or warn guests about it in advance.
To say that my stay at Movenpick Tahlia was unpleasant would be an understatement. The combination of an agonizingly slow check-in process, a small room, and the frustration of enduring multiple power outages made my visit a complete disaster. I strongly advise potential guests to consider the points raised in my review as this hotel's blatant disregard for guest comfort and lack of basic amenities is simply unacceptable.
I sincerely hope that the management of the hotel takes these criticisms to heart and makes substantial improvements to ensure that future guests do not have to endure the same dismal experience that I had.
