I go to Riyadh quite often, and because of its convenient location, I've selected to stay at the Holiday Inn Olaya this time. Check in went out without a hitch, and the hotel lived up to its high standards in terms of cleanliness. The breakfast buffet offers some very tasty options. Sincere gratitude to Mr. Raghib for gratifying my wishes in my capacity as a member of the Diamond IHG.

Very friendly staff and good service. The rooms in the old building need to be upgraded, especially the mattresses. We had an offer for dinner and laundry with the stay. The menu was customized taking into consideration they had many vegetarians living in the hotel at the time. It was very considerate of the manager. The laundry service was also very good.

Great hotel, with really comfortable beds, the food was excellent but it seems that the chef has changed and now the food is OK but service is still great

The restaurant within the hotel is called 'The restaurant '; this makes it difficult to locate on Google maps. It is sr 201 per head for the buffet. Very clean, not so large, open eating area. The decor is pleasing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The choice of food is limited. There is a salad bar, desserts, breads, rice, vegetables dishes, fish and fried chicken as well as some other small bits and pieces. Drinks are not included; a sr 0.5 water costs sr6! I didn't dare ask about the fizzy drinks, in case they said it cost sr30 or so! Out of all the foods, the fish and samosas were well done. The meats were and bland. The other dishes were also bland and tasteless. The drinks should have been included in the orice of the buffet. Again, I'm guessing they are catering for their Arab clients. The atmosphere was fine. Recommended? No. Not worth it for the limited choice. I gave it 3 stars as it was a nice set up, not because the food was anything special.

Although the staff is very nice, there's much needed maintenance to the carpet in the rooms and at all floors.
