Batoul Ajyad Hotel

15 min walk to Haram (Free Shuttle service available). The hotel is very nice and the staff is very helpful. The rooms are really comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast and full breakfast are very good (The standard continental breakfast will have some combination of fruit, muffins, bagels, cereal, bread, croissants, pastries, waffles, yogurt, juice, milk, tea, and fresh coffee. Additionally, there will be butter, jam/jelly, cream, and sugar available.) Available in all rooms: Hair dryer, Streaming service like Netflix, Toiletries, Electric kettle with Free bottled water and coffee, Milk, Sugar, Green tea, etc... Free Car parking in the hotel Basement. The Batoul Ajyad Hotel I wish will be the same …. I will come next time to the same hotel.

0 STARS. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everyone was unhelpful and made me very uncomfortable during my 10 day stay here during Ramadan. I won’t name anyone but I’m sure when they read this review they will know who they are. The hotel room was filthy and run down as you can see in the images. We asked the room to be cleaned on the 3rd day and we came back after more than 12 hours (due to prayers etc) to a room that wasn’t cleaned. A worker came into the room as we requested towels and toilet rolls. He then proceeded to shout and raise his tone and start speaking in Arabic as towels were in the tub. The usual policy in hotels is to leave towels in the tub/ floor in order for them to be replaced but he advised they should be hung up?? This is so ridiculous but if they have this policy it should have been stated at the start! He then said we should press 0 if we need anything - the phone in our room wasn’t even connected!!! Spent nearly £2k to stay in a hotel and feel uncomfortable and treated differently to other guests. I will never return here or recommend this hotel to anyone. The workers should take some customer service courses and learn manners. We asked for a manager to come to our room the following day following the incident with the worker.. no one came to ask what happened and if everything was okay etc. Absolute horrible service, wish I could get a refund!

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice staff at reception and restaurant. I was not able to use shuttle services to haram as it was blocked during salaah time (by muroor). Complimentary ifthar was not bad. Only issue I noticed is that experience with elevators was bad. They don't have a separate service elevator, trash was collected from each floor and shifted in an elevator at a time when there were many people waiting for elevators. There is a barber in the hotel, but he is close to the smoking area, so smells bad.

Hotel receptionist was a bit annoying, she had a chip on her shoulder. Apart from that, out stay was very enjoyable. We were provided with iftar and sahoor. Food was of good quality, salads were quite appetizing and plenty of cases for dessert. I wouldn't mind staying again. One of the advantages was the free bus service provided by the authorities into the haram. As long as the buses are empty.

I stayed one night. Generally everything was good. Distance from Haram is also not too far but the only issue is the steep slope will not be easy for elderly people. The hotel does have shuttle service to the Haram but at times of heavy traffic, no guarantee where one will have to get down.
