I must say this is hardly a 5 star hotel. The front desk is friendly and do their best to make you feel welcome and you can take a lot of nice pictures that will look really well on your social media but this is not a 5 star hotel.... though the prices are!
First thing, the hotel is not on the first line or the second line on the beach but third line. It looks nice from the outside but it's just a lot of plastic to me. No noble material like you would like to see in Formentera.
I made a request 3 times for a a boat ride to the concierge and I got a reply on the day before our departure. The rooms were cleaned once a day and never before 3.00pm. It was well cleaned though. The lights in the room were complicated to use and you couldn't use your bed light stand without all the lights being lit which means that if you have a child sleeping with you in the room or even if your better half that would like to sleep, you better use your torch lamp of your phone. Same thing if you want to go to the toilets and not wake everyone up.
The quality of the beds and pillows were very good and we are very hard to please.
The food for breakfast was really average. Don't ask for scrambled eggs: they will be dry. Overall the ladies waiting at the tables are not nice. I would say rough and the service is slow. Even at lunch time: 45 minutes for a dried bred hamburger over cooked that we had asked medium rare.
Both swimming pools area are nice. The restaurant on top was good.
If you want to see quality and service, this would not be the place to go. Try the Tahiti hotel in the same town. It's a front line hotel on the beach and the prices are much less higher and quality is there. We couldn't as they were booked but we really regretted it especially when we saw the bill at the end of your stay.
