Dana Beach Resort

Called the Reception Manager, regarding a day pass and asked what facilities i can use. He ensured me that I can use the pool area, the beach etc. Booked online and paid 215SR. After I arrived I’ve been told that the beach are is not accessible for me. I could only use 2 pools. The small beach area next to the poolside was also closed. What a waste of time. Not recommend this place. Why the manager didn’t inform me clearly about this??? Sad.

Resort was built very well but services were not up to the mark. 1. Iron and Hair dryer were missing in the room. But were provided after request 2. Room Service and Reception were not quick to respond 3. After paying 900 SAR per night , still had to pay for towel in pool area, similarly no free access for family pool and game area. You would expect these services to be included. 4. Furniture was ordinary as well This place has good potential but services need to be improved a lot.

Overall, the hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable. However, the air conditioning was very noisy, making it difficult to sleep. The staff, with the exception of the lifeguards at the pool and beach, were friendly and helpful. The lifeguards, on the other hand, had a deplorable attitude. They imposed nonsensical rules and spoke to guests in an arrogant and unpleasant tone. The worst of all was an incident that occurred during our stay. A little girl cut her foot in the pool and required two stitches. The hotel doctor attended to her for 15 minutes, and then the hotel charged the parents €700. We consider this attitude on the part of the hotel to be completely unacceptable and inhumane. An accident of this type can happen anywhere, and the least one expects is that the hotel will show empathy and cooperation with those affected. Instead, they took advantage of a vulnerable situation to charge an exorbitant amount of money. In addition to the previously mentioned issues, the hotel's lunch options at the food court and beach were also subpar. The food lacked variety and quality, and was often served cold or overcooked. This was a major disappointment, as we were expecting a wider range of dining options at a resort of this caliber. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Dana Beach Resort is a lovely place for a short weekend getaway with family. The beach is very clean and the resort itself has so many things to offer. However, this resort is definitely NOT ideal for non-muslims. It is not possible to wear a normal swimwear so I was not able to swim with my kids at the pool area or the aqua play because it is required to wear a "burkini". Conservative clothing is still mandatory. My kids enjoyed their time though. At night, there is a fun zone and many activities for kids. If you are a hotel guest, some activities are free. The rooms are very spacious, but you can see it's quite outdated. They offer many restaurants to choose from. Breakfast buffet had a lovely location--beach view! We went in May, so the water in the beach was extremely warm. We were told that the best time to go is between November to April. Overall, we had a great experience but there is definitely room for improvement. The resort is very big and maintaining it is quite a challenge. We tried calling housekeeping or reception many times but no one answered. The rates of the room does not compensate for our experience. Paying more than 200 Euros per night, considering it is not a high season is a bit too much. They offer a 4 star facilities and 3 star service but with a price of a luxury resort.

It was our first time in Egypt and also our first time in such a large hotel resort. The Dana Beach Resort and the whole hotel team gave us a fantastic vacation. The cleanliness, the good food and above all the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff, from reception to room cleaning, is incredible. We are absolutely thrilled.
