Tarout Fortは、サウジアラビアのアルカティフにある島の中心にある小さな歴史的な城です。城のふもとは紀元前5000年にまでさかのぼります。砦が位置する島（タロウ島）には、他にも多くの史跡があります。
歴史
城はもともとメソポタミアの女神の崇拝に捧げられていました。一部の歴史家は、砦はポルトガルがペルシャ湾に侵攻した16世紀に建設され、防衛拠点として機能したと信じています。その後、ポルトガル人が去ると、城は廃墟になりました。メソポタミアの彫像とともに、多くの碑文も城で発見されています。
構造と景観
砦は島で最も高い地点である丘の上にあります。 4つの円錐形の塔がありました。しかし、そのうちの1つは戦闘中に破壊されました。要塞は、石膏、海泥、フォーロッシュの岩でできた広い壁に囲まれています。砦はヤシの木、古い保存された家、そして狭い通りに囲まれています。島の人々の主な水源であった「AyyinAloudda」（古い泉）という名前の泉も城の横にあります。夜になると、建物は周囲に設置されたライトで照らされます。
一部のダイナーも島の近くにあります。タラウト砦は夕方に観光客のために開かれ、観光客は城の周りを自由に歩き回って写真を撮ることができます。

We go to this place Sunday and the place is closed every Sunday and Monday ,I recommend the place who love antiques places

We visited the castle ruins on a Monday and it was closed. The locals told us it was closed on Sunday and Monday, so be sure not to try to visit on those days. It is one of the few ruins that we've heard about in the Eastern province so it seems fairly unique in that respect. There is a nearby "museum" that displays and sells personal antiques from a local who has collected things from the last 80 years or so. We arrived at 3 pm and the neighborhood didn't become active until 4-5pm. The mosque in front of the castle is photo-worthy.
