シュブラストリートと呼ばれる市内最大のストリートの1つに位置するシュブラパレスは、サウジアラビアのタイフにあり、王族が夏の離宮として使用していました。宮殿は、エジプトのカイロに建てられた別の宮殿にちなんで名付けられました。
もともとは1858年に建てられた2階建ての家でしたが、1905年に改築され、さらに2階建てになりました。創設から約150年後の1995年に、宮殿は遺産博物館に変わりました。
建築
現在、建物は4階建てで、石の柱で支えられており、庭園とローマの彫刻が施された柵に囲まれています。木製のバルコニーと窓のあるこの白い建物のデザインも、20世紀初頭にインド亜大陸で見られた王室の邸宅に似ています。
建物の中には100を超える部屋があり、輸入されたイタリア産大理石を使用して建てられたいくつかの入り口があります。窓とバルコニーは、木片の彫刻された十字形のパターンで飾られています。廊下と天井にはイスラム建築が見られますが、宮殿の屋根にはローマ建築の特徴があります。
宮殿内のアトラクション

Not maintained well for visitors. Looks like a hotel or a government office.

Shubra Historical Palace | Taif
Construction began in 1904 and ended two years later in 1906. It was established by Sharif Ali bin Aoun, Prince of Makkah and Hejaz at the time. After the unification of the Kingdom, King Abdulaziz took it, followed by King Faisal, as the seat of government during the summer period. Then, it turned into an office for the Ministry of Defense during Prince Sultan’s tenure of the ministry. Converted during the reign of King Fahd to the Taif Regional Museum.
The palace was named after the Shubra area in Egypt, which was considered a high-end residential at the beginning of its construction, its architectural style is a mixture between Hejazi and Roman architecture, the palace consists of a basement topped by three floors with about one hundred and fifty rooms, marble was imported from Italy and wood from Turkey and Singapore and worked on it The most skilled craftsmen from the Hijaz and beyond, the palace had a lush garden, most of which was removed for the purpose of expansion.
Currently, it is the Taif Regional Museum, which contains many Islamic and earlier antiquities

This museum is one of the most important historical palaces located in Taif. It was built by Ali Abdullah bin Aoun Pasha in the year 1323 AH (1904 AD) and took its construction in his year. Its advantageous location watching the crops from the east.
