ドゥーマトアルジャンダル湖は人工湖であり、アラビア半島で最大の湖と見なされており、地元の人々の間で非常に人気のある目的地です。
場所と風景
湖はジャウフ地方北部にあり、100万平方メートルの面積と15メートルの深さで広がっています。砂漠の真ん中に位置する青い湖は、魅力的な光景を提供します。灌漑目的で湖の水をよりよく分配するために、巨大なポンプが設置されました。観光客は渡り鳥や魚などの野生生物を鑑賞することができます。この地域には、オマールアルハッタブモスクや湖から3〜4kmの古代のマレド城などのいくつかの史跡もあります。
活動と施設
この地域では、トレッキング、ジェットスキー、スピードボートに乗るなど、多くのウォータースポーツを楽しめます。湖では多くのセーリング大会も開催されています。このエリアは、家族でピクニックをしたり、夏にバーベキューをしたりするのに最適です。遊歩道沿いに並ぶお店では、お茶、コーヒー、伝統料理を楽しめます。近くにトイレがあり、観光客が散歩したりジョギングしたりできる通路があります。夕方まで湖に滞在する予定がある場合、または日没後に訪れる場合は、蚊よけ剤を忘れずに持って行ってください。

Nice place for a short trip of half day. it is around 360 KM from Hail and located in Aljouf region. The place is cool and may enjoy more in summer when temp of other places are high.

This is a perfect place to bring the family for a BBQ. I was driven here by a Saudi who happen to know the area. I have traveled past it a few times and never noticed. This is a fresh water lake. Naturally beautiful that sits in the middle of the desert. A hidden treasure of Saudi Arabia.
Perfect for Picnics and BBQs. And apperently even more beautiful at night that during the day. We met some friendly locals there. Who didn’t know much English but was happy to give us a brief history of the lake and the town.
If you’re a little old I’m age like me. Bring your walking shoes as if you want that picture of a life time, you’ll have to climb for it. However it’s totally worth it. A place of unbelievable beauty.
