Honestly very disappointing.
I had high expectations for Chalcos but..
- One of the worst ordering experiences, the place is very small and there was a line of two people and the scannable menu is only available at the END of the line.. then I have to go back to order. Two people in line felt like 40 because how messy it was. In addition to the fact that the area you order from/pay is the same area people/servers pass by to go upstairs so yeah that was a HUGE mess. While my order was being prepared I saw my plate moving around from counter to counter to on top of plates to on top of trays it was a real mess.
- Ordered a shredded beef burrito, it was hugely lacking on salt. The salsa's were bland and flavorless. Only the sour cream and guac were good.
If it wasn't a soft opening I probably would have never ever considered going again. But perhaps once the restaurant is fully launched I'll give it another try.
