يقع جبل القره في المنطقة الشرقية بالمملكة العربية السعودية على بعد 25 دقيقة بالسيارة من منتزه الأحساء الوطني ويعتبر من أهم الأماكن في الأحساء بسبب تكويناته الطبيعية.

منظر جمالي

يمكن رؤية الجبل من مسافة بعيدة بسبب حجمه ويقف على حافة هضبة شدقم التي تلامس الكويت والعراق من جهة وربع صحراء الربع الخالي من جهة أخرى. بسبب التجوية تحت الجوية ، طور الجبل بمرور الوقت عددًا من شبكات الكهوف ويتميز بأشكاله الرائعة ووديانه الضيقة. تقع بين أربع قرى ويرافقها الأنهار وأكثر من 3 ملايين نخلة.

في الأحساء ، يمكن للمرء أن يجد أدلة أثرية لبعض أقدم المستوطنات في شبه الجزيرة العربية والتي يعود تاريخها إلى 5000 عام قبل الميلاد. عادة ما تظل درجة الحرارة في المنطقة معتدلة طوال العام ، مع هبوب نسيم لطيف بسبب موقعها الجغرافي.

Very interesting geological location. There is a small museum at the beginning. The mountain and the cave system in a short walk. Worth a visit if you are in the area. There is free parking and different restaurants outside. Fee for the museum and cave visit is SAR50.

Well maintained museum, clean and seeped in history. The highlight is the cool interior of the caves even with external temperatures going as high as 50 degrees Celsius. The entry fee has gone up since the renovation, but still worth it for the experience of exploring.

Amazing place to visit and discover. You will diffidently enjoy seeing the vast number of unique rocks formations. It is worth mentioning that this place is open and free. You may visit the other famous cave which is located near by and it is the land of civilization , you will love it. For this specific place, my advice to you is as follows: 1- arrive 2 hours or less before sunset to allow some time climb the rocks and after that go down between the rocks and head inside deep and look for the caves which are amazing. 2- Wear appropriate shoes such as hiking or similar to ensure safety. 3- Ensure taking a bottle of water with you 4- One of the caves in the area is home for local bats, look for them and enjoy watching them hanging or flying. Really good experience and nice people at the entrance. The caves are well lit with perfect temperature. I highly recommend visiting them. There is also some interesting palm work you can buy at the exit at affordable prices.
