يعد مسجد الغمامه من أقدم مساجد المدينة المنورة بالمملكة العربية السعودية ، وهو من الآثار التاريخية للمدينة.

الأهمية في الإسلام

يُعتقد أن المسجد يقع في المكان الذي صلى فيه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلاة العيد خلال السنوات الأربع الأخيرة من حياته. ويقال أيضًا أنه عرض مرة صلاة الاستسقاء في هذه المرحلة عندما كانت المدينة المنورة تواجه نقصًا في الأمطار. وأطلق هذا على المسجد اسمه (غمامة) أي السحابة. تزعم بعض المصادر أن هذا هو المكان الذي أدى فيه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلاة جنازة نجاشي إمبراطور أكسوم في إثيوبيا.

الموقع والبنية

يقع المسجد على بعد 500 متر غرب المسجد النبوي ، وظل مغلقًا للصلاة حتى وقت قريب. تم فتح المسجد الآن للمصلين الذين يأتون ويصلون خمس مرات يوميا. تم تصميم نظام صوت داخلي لتجنب تصادم الأصوات من المسجد النبوي.

المسجد مستطيل الشكل ، وينقسم إلى قسمين ؛ باب المدخل والمصلى. الجزء الخارجي من المسجد محاط بأشجار النخيل الجميلة. يحتفظ المسجد بالكثير من مظهره من العصر العثماني عندما تم تجديده في المرة الأخيرة. سيجد الزوار أن الهندسة المعمارية للمسجد لها لمسة تقليدية إلى حد ما مقارنة بالمساجد الأخرى في المنطقة ذات المظهر الأكثر حداثة. غالبًا ما يُرى الحمام يتدفق في باحة المسجد ويطعمه الزوار. في الليل ، عندما يضيء المسجد ، يزداد جماله بقباب تشبه الأجرام السماوية الساطعة.

Mosque of Al-Ghamamah (Arabic: مسجد الغمامة) is one of the oldest mosques in Medina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is located south west of Masjid Nabawi and also bear toMasjid Nabawi gate no 310/311 Madinah, KSA. Prophet Mohammed (SAW) prayed eid-ul fitr and eid-ul Adha there. Prophet Mohammed (SAW) also prayed salat ul-Istasqa for rain. SubhanAllah afterwards it did rain. Supplicants and tourists are trying to visit it and pray two rakat “Tahiyatul masjid'' salat.The mosque is one of the historical relics of Medina. I paid to visit it on 05 January 2024 at evening and prayed two rakat Tahiyatul masjid salat. It is open at 10:00 hours and closed at 00:00 hours regularly.

The Masjid Al Ghamamah is located near the Masjid an Nabawi. Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) prayed the two Eids prayers and also prayers for rain.

Mosque of Al-Ghamamah (Arabic: مسجد الغمامة) is one of the oldest mosques in Medina, Saudi Arabia, located in the place believed to be where the Islamic prophet Muhammad performed an Eid prayer in the year 631. It is also narrated that Muhammad offered Salat ul-Istasqa when the city of Madina faced a shortage of rain. For a while, this mosque was closed for daily prayers because of its proximity to the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. However quite recently it has been reopened for the worshipers for praying. Five times prayers are held in this mosque now with an internal sound system to avoid the clash of sounds from the Prophet's Mosque. The mosque is one of the historical relics of Medina.
