Before I review the food I’d like to address the rude and pretentious female host who kept replying to us in Arabic, as if to force her personal assumptions on us, when we (an American family) were clearly speaking to her in English. Seriously, how ironic coming from a host? As for our food, the paste were good overall but bells and whistles aside, it’s pretty much at the standard of most neighborhood restaurants we go to in Italy but for 4-5x the price. We ordered linguine al frutti di mare, spaghetti alla carbonara, spaghetti Michelangelo, and spaghetti AOP, all of which were good except the AOP which tasted overwhelmingly of parmigiano. A classic aglio e olio would’ve been much better in our opinion. The crème brûlée was below average for me. A world-class restaurant should emulate world-class service and hospitality, because no one wants to eat where there’s embarrassingly unprofessional staff members, no matter how good the food may be.
