Nice place for a short trip of half day. it is around 360 KM from Hail and located in Aljouf region. The place is cool and may enjoy more in summer when temp of other places are high.

This is a perfect place to bring the family for a BBQ. I was driven here by a Saudi who happen to know the area. I have traveled past it a few times and never noticed. This is a fresh water lake. Naturally beautiful that sits in the middle of the desert. A hidden treasure of Saudi Arabia.
Perfect for Picnics and BBQs. And apperently even more beautiful at night that during the day. We met some friendly locals there. Who didn’t know much English but was happy to give us a brief history of the lake and the town.
If you’re a little old I’m age like me. Bring your walking shoes as if you want that picture of a life time, you’ll have to climb for it. However it’s totally worth it. A place of unbelievable beauty.
