描述
Aqeer城堡位于Al-Hasa绿洲东北70公里的Uqair海滩上，是沙特阿拉伯伊斯兰起源的古老堡垒。目前尚不清楚这座堡垒的实际年龄。有些人将堡垒与希腊和罗马文献中提到的古拉古城联系起来。
历史与建筑
据估计，这座堡垒至少有 300 年的历史，尚不清楚是谁建造了它，但最著名的是阿卜杜勒·阿齐兹国王征服我们现在所知的沙特阿拉伯时曾接待过他。城堡内，一侧的庭院矗立着巨大的柱子，另一侧则建有小房间。
堡垒由石头城墙加固，城墙顶部是泥砖。它有拱形入口、又大又窄的木窗和拱形石地板。堡垒旁边还有一个奥斯曼时代的市场，而堡垒对面是一个古老海港的遗迹，据信它是阿拉伯半岛最早的海港之一

The place was closed, but still I was able to see old castles and monuments. Very interesting to learn about history and to explore archeological places. Hope it opens soon for the public and tourists.

The place is closed. But you can see the castle from afar. Still a good view. It was cloudy on the day of my visit. There's a swimming area on the other side which is better than the uqair beach, stronger waves, clean water, lighter and fine sand. Unfortunately, there's no public bathroom/toilet near the shore. Also, I suggest to come early in the morning and late afternoon since it's quite hot.

I have visited on the friday morning but unable to enter inside it is locked . I dont know who responsible for the key

The fort was closed. Nice location. However no developments are done. This location is perfect for tourism.
