Juwatha Historical Mosque is believed to be the Second Masjid where Jumua' (Friday) prayer started started after Prophet's Masjid in Madina Munawwara. Authority has kept it as in the old form and have arranged a park and shopping facilities near to it. It's a major attraction of visitors to Al Hofuf, the eastern oasis of the kingdom. It's very fascinating fact that the second place where Jumua' started after Madina is that much far from there and the people were that much strong believers in Islam.

Beautiful and specious park in Eastern region so much attraction for everyone. Price are moderate and fix in pocket. Before 2 year all the activities was close here because of pandemic. Now everything is open. Best time to visit here after 5 o clock.

As-salaamu alaykum dear Sisters and Brothers, Jawatha Masjid Situated beside Jawatha Park, it's the oldest masjid in Al Ahsa. It's known to be the second Jummah masjid in the world. Came across it when I was searching for historical islamic sites to visit in Saudi Arabia. Alhamdulillah it's a wonderful experience being there. Eventhough the masjid is not open for prayers, it's a beautiful opportunity to visit it as its part of Islamic history. If you are visiting Al Ahsa or Living here near Al hofuf, you should visit it and pray outside. There are no prayer mats so please bring your own. The restrooms are also closed so you have to perform wudhu before you get here. I visited here for the first time last year after Ramadhan thinking it was open for jummah prayers. It is still closed to the public. Recently I got to visit it and prayed in congregation outside with a few brothers. It's very beautiful. During the day there is a good breeze and you can hear the birds chirping I the bushes outside the masjid. Which is a very pleasing to hear. I hope this beautiful masjid is open to the public soon.
