Calling this a ‘4 star’ luxury hotel is the joke of the century. Unfriendly faces offer little help far from actually being welcoming. The air conditioning in our 4-5 day stay did not work! Maintenance can only repair the unit if you’re in the room, which was a nightmare since we didn’t have time to sit around with the crew. On their first visit they just told us to keep the windows and bathroom door closed. The problem persisted the next evening and after an hour of working on it, they offered to change our room at 10pm. Which wasn’t possible with my 65 year old sick mother already half asleep.
The buffet has plenty of options but nothing is really flavourful or seasoned right, which is a shame considering the exorbitant amount being charged. The desserts were nice though. I felt pretty ill and asked for fruit slices in the ‘tea room’, despite being on the menu it wasn’t available. I knew the buffet restaurant across had them but the staff told me it was impossible for them to grab some. Most of the items on the menu like milkshakes juices etc they don’t really have. Hardly a 4 star experience
The rooms also have a gross grimey feel, as if things haven’t been cleaned properly. Outdated interiors. Hair on bathroom robes. Construction noises were also very annoying. Would have preferred a window without grills for a better view too.
All in all, I would sincerely advise one look elsewhere. Plenty of great hotels around in the same location.
