Description

Internet sensation Nusr-Et (Nusret) Gokce, better known as “Salt Bae,” recently opened his 28th restaurant, and it’s right here in Riyadh. The Nusret (Nusr-Et) restaurant, located at the far end of the popular ‘U Walk’ plaza, has so far seen a lot of success, with constant traffic coming in and out of the place - especially on weekend nights. The setup consists of two floors, although the upper floor has yet to open. The lower floor is spacious and well decorated for a fine dining experience. Salt bae, named after the chef’s pseudonym, has made its Riyadh menu pretty similar to the other famed Salt bae restaurants.

Signature items such as the ‘Golden Tomahawk,’ the ‘Sauteed Mushrooms and ’Salt Bae burger’ are all available on the Riyadh menu. Salt Bae is located on Prince Turki Ibn Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road and is open every day of the week from 12 pm to 1:30 am.

The food tastes excellent, reception and hosts are very nice. I would like to make special compliments to Murat. He was very friendly and made my experience exceptional. I came on Friday for a lunch. I loved the combo they are offering for 99 riyals ( 1 burger, fries, soft drink, baklava with ice cream and tea) including VAT.

Their food is way below average. I gave them 2 stars just because they had a good service. Other than that, it’s not worth it

It's a very beautiful place, with some variety in every corner. A photographer would really love taking pictures of some of the designs of shops and art pieces. The restaurant/cafés, although expensive, are good for chilling with your friends and talking but don't order too much cuz it's pretty expensive compared to what Saudi Restaurants usually cost. Now with the negatives: Too many people walking, and to be fair, there's a lack of security. I didn't see much suppor in the walk for people with disabilities. It's hard to find a park. And for the love of god, WHY DOES IT CLOSE SO EARLY?? It's a public place, it should be open 24/7 as I would like to go there late at night because I'm usually busy before that. I personally liked "الواجهة" more.

We went to try the restaurant because it’s popularity, We ordered a ribeye burger, to our dismay the beef was so salty I couldn't even finish the meat because it is TOO SALTY. The quality and the taste is important but it didn’t justify it. The burger beside from being salty it is very dry. We had very high expectation to the restaurant, but we very disappointed to there food. McDonald big tasty is much better that there burger.

An honest review! A lot of mixed feelings on the restaurant while going thru the review comments on this restaurant, so let me give my very honest opinion. First and foremost: I gave it a four stars rating mainly due to the taste, quality, service and upscale ambiance of the place, one star short of five due to, hmm, prices on the golden collection of meats, that’s completely irrelevant for foods, at least not for grilled meat. Well! So, before you decide to walk in to this place, remember that it is a Michelin Star type restaurant, that’s gonna cost you money, like many other high end places in Riyadh. Why it’s expensive has a lot to do with the type of ingredients it’s uses, mainly the Australian Wagyu meat cuts that are still very costly even if you pick as raw meat cut out at any local meat shop, and of course let’s not compare Nusr-et with other meat outlets that offer Brazilian steaks. The cost in raw meat is a huge difference. The meat, since it’s good quality of Wagyu, simply melts in your mouth like butter, and smokiness of charcoal grill adds a lot more flavors to it. One thing I noticed though is that they add generous amount of salt, the Salt Bae iconic style throws a lot of salt, so you can inform the team of a lesser salt at the time of order. You can always mimic Salt Bae at your table if you crave for more salty meat. I will personally never order any gold meat or gold baklava, which for my type is a waste, only if they used premium Japanese Wagyu it would make it logical paying 3,750 SAR for a whole cowboy Steak of over two kilos. And don’t forget their expensive non gold cuts weight more so that 2/3 people can share it along with other more economical options on the menu. We ordered also burgers, 130 SAR for a burger or a combo with only fries worth 155 riyals isn’t bad deal considering the premium everything they have used including the super soft Brioche bun and Wagyu meat inside. The service was swift, professional, well trained waiters and managers, typical of a high end place. I recommend it for special events, otherwise very nicely set decor and upscale ambience for burgers only that won’t cost as much. I will definitely visit again with my teen kids.
