Absolutely fantastic experience. Brilliant waiter, amazing maitre d' who passionately explained some of the history in Diriyah, and comfortably the best lamb (and butter) ever eaten. The whole area is excellent and Maiz is a highlight.

I Ordered Lamb Kabsa, Goursan, Aish Bil Laham, Striploin steak along with Crushed potatoes and Sahawiq sauce. As for the drinks, I got the Al Ula Heritage. The Aish Bil Laham was stuffed with spiced lamb along with spicy cherry tomato and chili sauce that added a little kick to it which tasted lovely. Goursan was to die for my absolute favorite dish on the menu. The Kabsa’s rice wasn’t really that flavorful to me but the Lamb ribs that came along with it were cooked perfectly! Striploin steak was good just not what I expected to be. Loved the sahawiq sauce and their crushed potatoes that came along with it. Now the one which I was very spectacle about was the Al Ula heritage drink. I thought it was going to be just another regular knock off of a mocktail but it proved me wrong. The mix of the citrus bitters and grapes tasted wonderful. Note their portions are really good especially with the Rice and Goursan. Overall I highly recommend trying this place out! Prices: Lamb Kabsa: 130 SAR Goursan: 148 SAR Striploin steak: 185 SAR Aish Bil Laham: 75 SAR Crushed Potatoes: 65 SAR Sahawiq Sauce: 15 SAR Al Ula Heritage: 51 SAR

The authentic Arabic cuisine was just awesome the chef new exactly what he was serving us. I loved Saleeg with Chicken l, the meat was so tender and the ghee taste so good with rice. All dishes served were delicious. The fifth star I’m giving is because of the excellent service.

The creativity and skill level of their chef/s shines through each plate as they express authentic Saudi flavors and ingredients in a new level. The Najil Fish should not be missed along with their take on Sambosa filled with 150-days grain fed Australian Black Angus Beef. The service made the experience even better under the excellent care and attentiveness of Mohammed Hejazi and John, who both served our table last night. They deserve a raise! 🤩

We had an extraordinary experience here. We came i without a booking, while all restaurants did not welcome us, Maiz was the only one that did, and we did not regret any moment spent. The atmosphere is calm. The waiters are extraordinary (Kareem was one of the best I met in my life) explaining every small detail. They had a set menu of 350 Sr which included water, a drink, tomato salad with feta cheese, lentil soup, meat sambosa, saleeg with chicken, najil with saysdiah rice, and 2 deserts. All the dishes were very neatly made and tasty. Saleeg could improve maybe by adding Cardamom and lentil soup could be ground more finely. But other than that it was perfect. The general manager was so friendly. We really enjoyed the night. Take a look at the photos and videos.
