Description

Founded in 1947 and named after the founder’s daughter, La Romana started out as a small town center shop in the historical city of Rimini in Italy. Today the Gelato parlor has spread its name to many different parts of the world, including Riyadh.

La Romana serves ice cream and desserts with the finest quality ingredients; the parlor has maintained the same authentic style of preparation and taste. At first glance, the interior matches perfectly with the mind’s idea of the ideal color theme for a parlor - soft grey walls accompanied by beige counters and furnishing. Although the glass display has the ice cream hidden beneath lids, each flavor can still be viewed and sampled upon request. 

The triple scoop is a favorite at Romana, but the ice cream shop also sells cakes, crepes, and coffees. If you want a taste of Italian Gelato at its finest, you can find La Romana dal 1947 within The Zone on Takhassussi Street.

A quaint coffee and gelato shop located at The Zone. The amount of flavors stocked is unbelievable… they allow tasters of the fantastic flavors and attend to you with a smile. The staff know their trade and assist you really well. The atmosphere is relaxed and one can really enjoy their time peacefully. I ordered the caramel gelato and although it was rich, it was absolutely delectable. I would be happy to visit many times over so we can get to try all the flavors available, which are like 24 different flavors in total…

Lovely shop environment and service is excellent. We only tried the gelato ice cream, and had several flavours. Some were excellent, others ok and a couple were actually not great (the fruit ones are actually more sorbet than ice cream, so best avoided). It's also quite expensive, so it does work out to a fair sum when you're in a big group

The best Gelato in town! First of all the staff was so friendly and courteous, we were able to taste a lot of the flavours. They have about 24 of them, you will definitely find the one that you are craving. All gelatos are so creamy, delicious and full of the flavour they represent. I got pistachio flavour which is hands down best one for me and blue blueberry flavour that tastes like candy (in a good way - not too sweet but brings burst of berry flavour) Place is cozy but we didn’t sit down, we went for a walk around the area that has fountains and seating area. The small cup can include 2 flavours - price is 22 SAR.

It was one of the best Gelatos I have ever tested in my life. Plus, they make it fresh in the store. It is more expensive than average. However, it is worth the price
