The serenity of this cafe is ideal for a peaceful evening. I come here often whenever (I’d like to believe) the weather is cold and I’d fancy a cup of hot chocolate.
👾 The cafe is located inside Khayyat Center, with seating areas both downstairs and upstairs.
It might be considered a little dull as it’s located inside the center with no access from the street directly, but the interior of the cafe is quite the opposite. The dim lights and wooden tables create a wintery atmosphere. There’s a large bookshelf with various books to read from, as well as an assortment of board and card games that will truly enhance your stay.
👾 I’ve tried a couple of things from their menu. Their coffee, hot chocolate, and tea were good. I’ve also tried their Saint Sebastian and chocolate cake which tasted flavorful. Their prices for beverages are considered above average; 25 riyals for drinks and 35 for dessert.
👾 The employees are welcoming and friendly. I believe children aren’t allowed here as many people complained that they wouldn’t let them in, but that is not the employee’s fault and simply the cafe’s policy.
Overall, it’s a good choice if you aren’t in the mood for a crowded cafe with lots of noise. It’s a great place to study, read, and spend quality time chatting and playing cards.
