Retaj Albayt Suites Hotel

Attention everyone, the hotel is completely closed from last 15 Months.

The only thing they have going for them is the location Positives: + Location: quick access to Haram through multiple gates / door + Accessibility: easy access to transportation via underground tunnel road Negatives: - Timings: check-in time of 5PM - Cleanliness: initial hotel room had damp carpet and very musty smell, was move to an alternate room that did not have the smell but was not very clean - Ambiance: hotel rooms and common areas are dated, poor finishing throughout and poorly maintained (ex. stained couch, dented fridge, scratched doors, peeling paint, etc.)

The whole staff was extremely helpful. The room service was readily available for all our needs and went above and beyond in caring for us. The room was very spacious and easily fit out 6-member family. The hotel is very close to the haram and is easy to access when one enters the clock tower. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other guests. Br. Rasheed, Kaleem, and Lateef were very responsive and helpful!

Love it because of spacious duplex suite with four single beds facing haram. Kitchen not complete with utensil tho but basic set such as kettle available. Friendly staff but most of requested items not available. Otherwise all good, my stays just fine and peace.. Alhamdulillah

Pros- having two floors is a big help as you have two bathrooms and rooms are a good size. Cons - if your room is located on the side block which a lot of the rooms are, it takes a long time to get an escalator. If you're on the block which is on reception side you can use the retaj lifts which are quick. However most people are put on the other block which takes forever to get a lift too. The rooms are very outdated and not at all modern. The bed sheets and covers resemble a few 3* hotels we stayed in years ago. The quality of room service is not great. The cleaning in the bathroom was very poor and we had to call on numerous occasions to ensure they cleaned our room properly. The house keeping team though friendly were at times very inconsiderate. They knocked on the door at 8am to ask if we were leaving and woke us up. Overall an okay hotel to stay in if you're on the right tower as it is very close to the haraam but if you're not in the right tower it takes a long time.
