At checking in the service and kindness of staff was impeccable . The rooms are clean, hence the two stars. But even in the 6th floor they remain noisy, due to bad location - traffic wise, and they are outdated without enough daylight. Furthermore, due to early leaving in urgency (medical reasons) my stay was shortened with 1 day. The hotel granted me a refund which was perfect (again good service.) But now, a month later, I am still waiting for it… This hotel takes down the Marriott standards. Update 29-01-2024; @all google review readers. Even after below reply on the earlier review; nothing is done and finalized.

They have very relaxed smoking policy. Allowing people to smoke in non-smoking rooms. When you stay next to one of these rooms, it is like you are in a shisha house. The hotel management does not care about enforcing this policy and the reception and helpdesk will just ignore your complaints. I have asmatha and this hotel is the worst place ever to stay for non-smokers. Reception and helpdesk staff are cluless and many dont even speak english. Only reason I am staying here is the gym which is also going downhill too with outdate equipment and many of non-hotel guests. None of the rooms has a proper working desks although this hotel caters to business people. One of the worst furnished Marriotts on the planet. Although quality is going downhill, prices are going uphill. You get a semi-motel experience for a Ritz-Carlton price.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Entire hotel was spotless. Entire staff was welcoming immediately upon arrival. Quiet and peaceful. Great location near King Khalid Military City although traffic can be excessive. Great breakfast with a vast selection of local, Indian, and western dishes. Lobby cafe offered a surprisingly good menu with an assortment of teas and coffee. Bellman staff is superb….all of them are exceptionally helpful. Special shout out to Sabbir who assisted me arranging very early morning transportation to the airport. He even slid a note under my room door reconfirming my ride was confirmed before he left for the evening…..thank you! I hope the entire bell staff gets a hearty job well done!

The hotel is showing lots of age and is far below Marriott standards. Upon arrival staff had me waiting over 7 minutes to acknowledge me to start the check-in. Rooms are small and like a prison. Executive lounge is decent, but short hours for breakfast and dinner. As for location, everything is far away. Not the best location and nothing is in walking distance, is the old poor side of town.

They have 2 swimming pools one in the hotel building which is for men only and the other in the apartments building which is shared and women have special times they can use it. However, when we were in the pool during women-only time, two men came in, saw us and went to the gym that overlooks the pool. We were so shocked as they were not supposed to be there. We couldn’t move or do anything because they would see us. Luckily, I had my phone with me so I called the hotel and asked them to bring someone to get them out. The funny thing is that they sent a lady and another man! He went to the gym and got those men out.
