Mercure Hibatullah Hotel

Location was good for us since we were a younger group, but as many others mention, the walk to Haram is a little exhausting. Take the underpass of Anjum Hotel for a shortcut. 6 Elevators is usually enough for anything, although one was broken at the time. The food was good and there will probably something to eat everyday even if you are picky. Room service brought us water every day but some people in our group didn't get them and had to walk to the restaurant to get some themselves. Wifi was unreliable.

Terrible terrible terrible.... nothing good about the hotel really, bad rooms, no room service, terrible wifi, no one answers phone, reception doesn't help... the list goes on. Walking to Masjid Haram is hilly walk , you can skip and through Anjun hotel escalators

Don't bother staying here if you want a good service and good sleep. Room service is non existent even after requesting for it thrice during a 5 night stay. Rooms are dirty, carpets are soiled. Bathrooms leak and after repeatedly asking for it to be fixed, no one would come. In the city that never sleeps, I am sure there are much better options On the plus side, walk to masjid is about 10 mins, with a bit of uphill walk and downhill after.

The good: - Walking distance near Haram (10-15 minutes) - Reception employees. The bad: - The lobby smells like sewers - Very dim lighting for lobby and corridors (to hide the dirt I guess) - Furniture and rooms are outdated and carpets are stained with old gum on the floor.. Even bed sheets are stained.. - No room service!!! You have to go around begging if you want your room cleaned.. and even then its not really cleaned. - No body answers the phones!! - Difficult walk to haram as it is up hill. - Very bad hotel wifi (mostly unable to connect) and what makes that worse is that you don’t even get cell service either! So you feel completely isolated! - There is scary sound that we hear in our room every few hours (metal thing falling or something) - Parking costs 150 SR/night - You can find much cheaper options with same level of this hotel.

Reached early morning, were not able to use the card terminal to make payment, I booked a day in advance. Kept Me waited, say go for Umrah, in the morning will take payment. I said no. Its not my fault etc. Room keeping not good at all. Hotel situated on the hill, around 10 to 12 minutes walk.
