I had a wonderful stay at Le Meridien Makkah during my recent umrah trip. The room, albeit smaller than the usual Le Meridien standard, had all it needed to make it a perfect stay. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Their service was wonderful too. Location is excellent, one of the closest to Masjidil Haram. Overall, highly recommended.

Our room’s Haram view was obstructed by the recently built Royal complex. The room itself was very clean but small. Also the reception area is relatively small compared to other hotels we stayed in during our Umrah. The staff were friendly especially in the breakfast lounge. An abundant choice of food to satisfy a variety of guests.

I stayed in that Hotel for 4 nights. The hotel reception staff is good and helpful but the room service and cleaning is well below standard. They didn't clean the room properly. The carpet outside the toilet was wet and filthy and the issue wasn't addressed by the staff after several complaints. We stayed in a big suite but unfortunately the telephone wasn't working in any room and nobody fixed it after several complains. So, the bottom line is, keep away if you are looking for a hotel with good cleaning & services.

Location is unique as it's just outside the heavy trafficked area in front of the clock tower. Easy access to transportation as well, just on the exit of the tunnel. The hotel itself got everything you need if you intend to just use it as a base for easy & quick access to Haram. If you are looking for busy Mall style this isn't it but it's very accessible as everything is few minutes walking. The rooms are well laid out, especially if you get high floor haram view rooms.
