I lost my sunglasses while I was swimming in the pool. I reported this before leaving the area and informed the receptionists before and after the shift change. I gave my phone number and the time I wanted them to check the CCTV as there were only four people present near the pool when I was there including two of the Sheraton staff. I could not accuse anyone but there were many cameras installed. I left the hotel and got back after a few hours, I gave my mobile number again to the receptionist and told me to wait and expect a phone call. The next day at noon, I called the hotel and the customer service asked me to wait until the CCTV was checked. No one called me until I got back to the hotel around 15:30. I was asked to wait until someone check the CCTV (I was told the CCTV can only be checked by the security officer who was not there) . I waited at the reception for more than an hour. I was surprised about how inefficient and incompatible the local staff are, including presumably the manager who was on the phone chatting to a friend and walking in the lobby for around half an hour when I was seated. Sheraton and Marriot are well known international hotels which I visited many times. There is a desperate need to improve how complaints are received and take them seriously. It seemed to me that the security officer did not want to cooperate and this should be investigated.
