Cristal Amaken Hotel

Unless you’re a business person in Riyadh to conduct business in the industrial area, Cristal Amaken is just too far outside of the city. However, everything else about this place is magnificent!

The hotel was nice and the room was good. However my job finished early so I checked out 2 days early. They made the refund process much to difficult. I paid with a credit card and staff says they cannot refund to card. Directly. I must write my name and card number on paper and they will send to finance for approval. I said I didn't want to write my card number for fear of theft. They demanded this is only way possible for refund. My colleague also checked out early and decided to take a cash refund. The hotel had incorrect dates on his invoice and all but refused to change the dates. Our company reimburses so dates and prices are important. They make this process much too difficult I will not return. .

Amazing room space with all the required facilities and top in class for any business trip. I strongly recommend it with all the given services. Staff are so polite and friendly namely Employee Mutaib who has spared no efforts to support.

Best hotel in the area, it’s strange to find such hotel in this location, so quite and not crowded. Clean, Food service on the average, booking prices are fair, has swimming pool, Gym and many parking slots

This is my second stay in the hotel. Reception is always welcoming, and hotel facilities are good. They have a pool and a free mini gym. There is a caffee at the hotel entrance with a nice lounge area, serving starbucks coffee. The layout of the first part of the rooms is cosy with the hotel rooms surrounding the reception area up to 5 floors under a glass roof, during the day you can expect to bask in sunlight when going out while still being inside the air conditioned zone. The second part goes deep after the elevator with a classic motel layout. Rooms are nicely done and clean. The bathrom is nicely done with a shower, not a bathtup. The bed is soft, and so are the pillows, I would prefer a firm bed and a firm pillow to support your back, but it would be great for others. The TV has its own system that allows you to select channels, view hotel services, and more. The size of the room for one bed is average, with a mini table and a chair next to the window combining that with a street view will allow you to relax while eating. There is also a nice study table with small light when you need to use your laptop or read a book. The hotel location is next to the industrial city, which is great for people who came here for business. The reason for the 3 star rating is the extremely poor network connectivity. Network speed is almost non-existent, and there is no option to upgrade your network package either. The majority of the hotel residents are businessmen and workers. These people rely on the Internet to do their work. And with the very poor Internet service provided here, working remotely from the hotel is next to impossible. In general, the place is great for a week stay to do your business. You can be sure to enjoy your time resting until you get back to your meetings. For a heads-up, please get yourself a network plan if you need to go online to avoid any bad days here until they fix the service.
