Bay La Sun Hotel & Marina

Came for an event last Thursday. Location: Too far from jeddah but if it is your thing, it is a nice change of pace… for a few hours. Personally, it is not a good place for work-related events as it is too far. Rooms: no comment as never visited/used. Dining Area: Small and we were rushed out by the staff as soon as we just finished eating. Lack of manners. One staff dropped some food on my back and tried to convince me it was ok (?) instead of apologizing. No, it was not ok but to avoid making a scene i just left it as is. Buffet: Food was subpar. Had to go out and find better food. Requested drinks 2 times from 2 different staff and never saw them again. Also there is no line so it was a free-for-all in all directions. Venue: Nothing special, other than the impressive entrance everything else looks average indoors. Outdoors tho as per pictures are nice and pleasant. Parking: There is underground parking but it is dark and no security. Overall, i have been to better places and would not recommend nor come back.

Upon checking in, I was shocked to discover that the room assigned to me had a strong paint smell, making it impossible to breathe comfortably. I immediately contacted the reception to request a room change, but to my dismay, I was informed that all rooms were fully booked.This situation is particularly disappointing as I had made a reservation well in advance, precisely 10 days before my arrival, with the expectation of a pleasant and comfortable stay. Unfortunately, this experience has fallen far short of my expectations, leaving me with a negative impression of your hotel.

The hotel has very good location Views from the room towards the canal is very good Rooms are spacious The ground floor hotel restaurant was very good with excellent buffet spread There is a mini playing area in the second floor with many virtual games Overall the experience was very good

As the hotel is 5 stars and i expected to be luxurious The front office was very friendly but the time i booked in the hotel there was a medical conference in the same hotel so 80 doctors came in the same day which made alot of pressure on the staff even there was one elevator only to serve all guests in the dinner we discovered that the hotel cant accept all the guests in the same time for dinner

the hotel is very neat, the food is good and has a big variety, the staff is friendly and easy to work with, the rooms are spacious. the only complaints i have is that the pillows aren't comfortable and the swimming pool is mens and children only, which was a major disappointment. there should be a female and kids only swimming pool, either outside and closed off or an indoor swimming pool for women to enjoy their time. the cafe should be changed from starbucks to any other cafe so even the people who dont buy from starbucks are able to enjoy coffee or sweets. overall the stay at the hotel was comfortable
