An interesting place to see, where they have captured the life in Bahrain, back in the 40s. The place is still under development, each year they add a new section to it. Unfortunately it is only accessible during Bahrains National days.

The heritage village opens annually in December during the Bahraini National day holiday. It's an outdoor festival with different vendors selling traditional food, products, and toys. In addition to food trucks and playing ground with rides and trampoline for your little ones. Here you can try local food, and enjoy traditional performances, in addition to face painting and henna.

Very nice place to bring the family and hang-out with friends. I haven't seen this kind of events for a while, and I must admit it was a great one! Very well organised, and there is good crowd management overall. I didn't like one thing, which is how the sellers are taking advantage of this event to sell threefold (150% more) of the original prices. Now since they have more footfall and buyers, they should rather sell it for the same price or 20% more. But the reality is you would pay 3 times the real prices.

I had the pleasure of celebrating Bahrain National Day at the Heritage Village where I enjoyed many activities such as live musical performances, camel and horse rides, and henna art. There was a great bazar to buy local products and souvenirs, and plenty of food stands to drink Karak tea and try Bahraini food. My favorite aspect about the place is the accurate historical structure of the buildings that transport you back in time. It felt like being in a museum as well as a traditional site.
