I cabin crew (air india). I operated flight AI 965 on 23rd and checked out on 24th morning. I was assigned the room 5014 but door was not getting locked. I was assigned the room and also was issued master key. Which could open any guest's door. I came down and returned that key to receptionist. He said he issued me emergency key but changed it.
Since the time i did check in, I have been requesting receptionist to send someone to fix the door ( no lock) but nothing happened. I came down 10 or 11 times, I was roaming from 5th floor to ground floor repeatedly till 12:30 midnight. I was so disappointed and tired that i spent whole day without sleep or rest, waiting for someone to fix the door but nothing happened, nobody attended.
I spent whole day roaming from 5th floor to ground floor, I was so tired that i had to sleep in my colleague's room (5013). I approached Mr wahid. He said it is not my duty take the key if want or else am taking it and giving it at reception. Being donatello staff I didn't expect this answer from him. I was standing in the corridor, he had no courtesy to ask me to get in the room and rest, Instead he told me to go down and get the key. That was not the right behavior.
I came down again, I approached Mr waleed (receptionist) he said pls change your room if door is not ok.... This option could have been given before also so that could rest at least.
At last 12:30 night I was offered new room 5018 by Mr waleed without even asking my problem or knowing what has happened, he was interested to know and told me to shift. Still I explained him Everything I suffered from morning. I told him what about my safety I can't sleep with open door. I am not comfortable. He replied in a very casual way " No problem, you change the room" That was very very casual attitude. He didn't even try to understand my situation.
when this room was not ok than why it was given to guest. Ms Lyojain, I spoke to her at least 5-6 times.. Also came down to talk but she doesn't understand anything no hindi no english. There should always be someone at the reception who can communicate, because that is the first place where guests report. That id first place to approach and first impression is considered as last. Anyways but It was a really bad day for me. Very bad response from staff. I am Very disappointed. This kind of behavior and service was not expected from this hotel. Please improve and educate staff. Thank you.
