Description

Al Soudah View Point is located in the mountainous area of Sauda in the Asir region. The viewpoint is located on the mountains from where the view of the hills and valley is remarkable. A good thing about going to this place is that you can drive your car directly to the viewpoint and do not have to hike at all.

Scenic Beauty

The mountains of the region are famous for being covered with dense juniper trees. You can see the clouds floating just above you or below if the weather is favorable. Tourists come here to watch the clouds, embrace the mountains, and marvel at the beauty of nature. Going to the viewpoint one and a half hours before sunset gives you the opportunity to witness one of the most breathtaking views you will ever see.

Activities

If you are lucky, you will get the chance to paraglide from Al Sauda mountain; however, it isn’t always on offer. Al Sauda Viewpoint is also a great spot to have a family picnic or a barbeque; however, keep an eye out for the monkeys because they might jump in to get their share. It’s better if you set some food aside for the monkeys; otherwise, they will keep bothering you while you eat.

Visit this place for Scenic views of Souda Mountains and Rijal Alma ( The little ginger bread town ) nestled at the bottom of the verdant valley. The slopes and farm terraces are covered in forests and vegetation.

I went there with my family and we loved this place. Temperature was 22’C with only couple of cars roaming. We stopped there for couple of minutes only and 15-20 monkey came together. Within 15 minutes a security guard came saying that this area is a private property now so visitors are not allowed so we had to leave Coz argue / discussion with locals is a waste of time. :-p
