Description

12 Springs of Prophet Moses (A.S.) is a historical landmark located in the valley of Maqna, Saudi Arabia. The sprouting of water and its flow against gravity in the middle of the desert appears to be nothing less than magical.

History

This longest surviving miracle in the world promises many visitors a spiritual experience as the Prophet Moses came to drink water from one of these wells after he crossed the Red Sea and arrived in Maqna. The Well of Moses (Prophet Musa’s well), or popularly called Bir al Saidni, contains crystal clear water pouring out of the ground in several places.

Landscape

In the valley of Maqna, the palm trees converge around small springs (including ‘Springs of Moses’) just a few kilometers before the coast. These springs also pump water in the famous valley of Maqna through the sand holes that are driven by water flowing from the ground. These ancient springs originate from the middle of the sand and are a major reason behind the popularity of Maqna among national and international tourists.

Bir al Saidni is located on a hill and provides a viewpoint where the blue waters of the Gulf of Aqba are visible. Beautiful palm trees surround the well with an archeological site situated in the north. The archeological site located on the top of the mountain also dates back to the early Islamic era. A date farm is also situated near the springs so visitors can eat fresh dates and take refuge from the summer heat as the weather is typically hot in the region. However, duee to the lack of any hotels in the area, it would be wise to take along your own food and supplies.

A historical site named the twelve Springs of Prophet Moses (A.S.) can be found in Saudi Arabia's Maqna Valley. Prophet Moses is supposed to have visited one of these wells after he arrived at Maqna after passing the Red Sea. Maqna is a charming coastal town that faces Egypt and the Sinai Mountains, which are easily visible from there. It is situated on the Gulf of Aqaba. However, the town is well known for the wells that were present when a significant event in the life of the Prophet Moses occurred. Duration: 8 hours 7 minutes if average speed speed is 87km/hr from Yanbu Industrial City Different Units: 704.62 km

One year ago when we had our hajj holiday adventure in Magna, Tabuk in Arabian Peninsula. Here you could witness the wild red sea, wildering within the 12 springs and the 70 palm trees which are located 1 hour from / to the split rock of Horeb, along the way were a group of🐪 camels.
